Apologize in Rock
Check out this video and tell me what you think. This is Silverstein’s cover version of One Republic’s hit, “Apologize.” This song is taken of the album, “Punk goes Pop Vol. 2” The music is played to One Republic’s original music video to this track.
I have listened to One Republic’s original version and also Timbaland’s. I personally do not like Timbaland’s version at all, and I’m a hip-hop fanatic. In my opinion, the original version still sounds the best, but I also think that Silverstein’s rock version is also quite good in a different way. Tell me what you think.
Christopher Adam “Chris” Daughtry (born December 26, 1979) is an American musician and the guitarist, songwriter, and vocalist for the band Daughtry. He was the fourth-place finalist on the fifth season of American Idol.
After his elimination from Idol, he was given a record deal by RCA Records. The band that was formed, Daughtry, released their self-titled debut album which sold more than one million copies after just five weeks of release, becoming the fastest selling debut rock album in history. In its ninth week of release, the album reached number one on the Billboard charts. Chris Daughtry is now the third most successful American Idol contestant in terms of record sales, behind only Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, who both won their respective seasons. At the 50th Grammy Awards, he was nominated for Best Rock Song for “It’s Not Over”. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Daughtry
Check out Chris Daughtry singing Lady Gaga’s Poker Face live on the radio in Germany. I think he does a pretty good job doing the acoustic version. I know the ladies will probably enjoy this version more. What do you think? Did Chris do the song any justice?
